Carte-de-visite of a full-length portrait of Prince Albert Victor of Wales seated on a chair. He leans against the right arm of the chair and faces slightly to the right of the viewer. A table stands on the left of the photograph with a curtain hanging behind it. Born at Frogmore on 8 January 1864, Prince Albert Victor was the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, and a grandson of Queen Victoria. He died of pneumonia at Sandringham on 14 January 1892, and his younger brother Prince George succeeded their father as George V in 1910.
