Full length portrait of Prince Leopold, aged two, standing on a chair facing front, his right hand by his side, his left hand at his neck. Long-sleeved dress.
Prince Leopold was the second son of Prince Henry of Battenberg and Princess Beatrice, and grandson of Queen Victoria. Despite his haemophilia, he had a successful career in the Army and served in the First World War. He died of complications from a hip operation on 23 April 1922. -
