Princess Irene of Hesse (1866-1953) was the third child of Princess Alice, daughter of Queen Victoria. On 24 May 1888, she married Prince Henry of Prussia (1862-1929), the third child of Emperor Friedrich III and Princess Victoria, also a daughter of Queen Victoria.
