To mark Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's fourteenth wedding anniversary, a series of five tableaux, with four representative of the seasons, were performed by their children in the Rubens Room in Windsor Castle on 10 February 1854. In this photograph, Princess Alice is dressed as the representation of Spring and wears a garland of flowers in her hair.
