Mortuary hilted backsword with Scottish steel hilt with inverted pear shaped pommel. Stylised acanthus foliage basket work. Barrel shaped wooden grip covered with black leather. Plain one-edged German blade (probably Solingen) with a ricasso and two fullers with incisions.
