A long duration French mantel clock, the case of rosewood veneer with a gilded balloon case surmounted with a putto. The mechanism comprses locking plate strike with a going barrel movement and, later, English recoil escapement. The enamel dial has the 12 hours represented in Roman numerals and every 5 minutes in arabic numerals and a pair of pierced gilt hands.
