Photograph of Lady Janey Sevilla Campbell (1846-1923), née Callander, dressed as Orlando, a character from Shakespeare's play, As You Like It. Her costume is a doublet in velvet and suede or wool, with scallop trim, trousers under thigh-length boots, also scallop-trimmed, with a long coat and cap. She is leaning on an oak tree, which may be real. In the background is another tree, possibly Wimbledon Common. There are some words from the play, written over the tree, and 'Orlando' in gold below. Lady Janey was a theatre producer and actress in the 1880s and 1890s. Signed by the sitter.
