Frances Maynard was once considered a possible wife for Prince Leopold but she in fact married Francis Greville, Lord Brooke (later Earl of Warwick) and the Prince was the best man at their wedding in 1881. Later she had a number of affairs, including one with the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII.
