Description

Photograph of Constance Gwladys Robinson, Lady de Grey, later Marchioness of Ripon: a three-quarters length portrait, her face turned to her right, wearing a tight-fitted dress with horizonal folds around the skirt. The photograph was pasted on a printed card, later trimmed down. Lady de Grey (during her second marriage) was an important supporter of Russian ballet and a good friend of Oscar Wilde who dedicated the play A Woman of No Importance to her.
