A bowl with rounded sides spreading to the rim. Painted with rectangular panels framed in gilt key-fret on either side, depicting a battle scene with horsemen and an emperor among members of his court, Round the foot is a key-fret border, and below the rim a gilt edged border with similar painted panels interspersed with flowers and butterflies. Inside, in the centre is a battle scene, with, above, panelled borders similar to those on the outside.
