Photograph of Cluny Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The view shows the front of the castle with three towers and a taler, square tower in the left of the background. A drive leads from the foreground to the castle entrance which consists of a porch with three arches. A man stands outside the castle, facing the viewer.
Cluny castle was constructed in 1604 by Sir Thomas Gordon. The castle underwent significant alterations following designs by the architect John Smith during the 1820's which were not completed until the 1840's.Provenance
