Photograph of a view of a Batak village, North Sumatra (now Indonesia). The village comprises of multiple wooden buildings with thatch roofs. In the centre of the photograph is a Batak tomb featuring an elaborate roof and an open area underneath. A group of people sit beneath the tomb. Two women stand and a young boy sits on the left side of the photograph. A man stands on the right.
