Photograph of large hall with top table at the back and three rows of tables at right angles to it. Banners and shields on walls. By his own wish, the Prince of Wales made a tour of India from 8 November 1875 until 13 March 1876. During his stay he received and visited many Indian princes and officials, held receptions and levées and went on hunting and sightseeing expeditions. As a result of the visit, six photographic albums were compiled of portraits, groups and views. Some of the photographs were commercial prints already available; others were specially taken to commemorate the tour. Wazirabad is situated within the borders of modern-day Pakistan, on the banks of the Chenab River
