Photograph of a group of men gathered under a mango tree in Katraj Bag, near Poona. There is a horse standing to the left of the tree among the men who are standing, sitting on the ground or leaning against the trunk of the tree. There is a group of palm trees to the far left.
From the 1750s the lake at Katraj provided the main supply of water for Poona, now known as Pune. It is located just south of the city.Provenance
