Photograph of Katraj, near Poona, taken from below the dam. To the right there is a stone wall with water below. Around the wall there is a garden with trees and plants. There are two men on the far hillside, one standing and the the other seated on the ground.
From the 1750s the lake at Katraj provided the main supply of water for Poona, now known as Pune. It is located just south of the city.Provenance
