Green leather halfbound photo album containing RCIN 2701157-213. Gold tooled boards and raised cords on spine, 'Frith's Photo Pictures Egypt & Nile'. Two bookplates inside upper cover on marbled endpapers: 'The Prince of Wales's Library', 'E VII Sandringham'. The album contains 57 pages of photographs mounted one per page, with pencil captions and photographer's negative number. The pages appear to have been trimmed prior to binding as parts of the captions have been sliced away. There is a photographer's catalogue list pasted onto the first page, which cross-references with the numbers. Views are mostly architectural and topographical, concentrating on Egypt's Pharaonic era. The photographs are probably from the published portfolio printed by Frith in Reigate (see Gernsheim, Incunabula no.319).
