The Prince of Wales climbed the Great Pyramid at 5.30am to see the view from the top. He described the climb as ‘rather serious and difficult’, adding ‘but you are rewarded by a fine view on the top’. At 10.30am, the royal party returned to the yacht and were preparing to commence their journey along the Nile. The photograph is signed, captioned and dated in the negative, 'F Bedford Ghizeh'. The number in the Day & Son series is 13.
