Photograph of the Cathedral of the Annunciation in St Petersburg. The cathedral is seen from the side and has two identical facades with a pediment and door. There is a spire and four subsidiary bell towers above. There are buildings behind and a road in the foreground, busy with carriages and pedestrians. The Cathedral of the Annunciation was consecrated in 1849 and was used as the regimental church of the Horse Guards. It was destroyed by the Bolsheviks.
