Flemish tapestry depicting the destruction of Troy. Aeneas is shown escaping the city, carrying his father Ascanius on his back and holding the hand of his son, Anchises. In the background the Wooden Horse stands in front of a burning Troy. A small fragment from another tapestry in this series is incorporated in the lower right corner (The Meeting of Dido and Aeneas). One of four panels from this series in the Royal Collection, apparently adapted from 16th-century cartoons.
