Craig-Coynach, Braemar 1865 after an 1865 original
-
Photograph of the town of Braemar with the Clunie river flowing in the foreground. In the background, to the right of the centre, is a church or chapel with a small spire. To the left of the church stand domestic buildings. In the background is the mountain Creag Choinnach, its lower slopes populated with pine trees.
This photograph is a later carbon copy of the original albumen photograph. Carbon was a process that was less susceptible to fading, unlike an albumen print that is prone to discolouration over time.Provenance
