A Temple at Lukhmeshwur 1866
-
Photograph of a temple at Lukhmeshwur. Only the lower part of the temple is original. The upper level is composed of fragments heaped together in a confused style with some signs of destruction.
The temple is built in the Chalukyan style of architecture. The Chalukyas of Kalyana were a dynasty which ruled portions of the Deccan from the tenth to the late twelfth centuries and left behind a rich legacy of temple architecture. -
