The Nachyar Temple in the Court of the Temple at Belloor 1866
-
Photograph of the Nachyar Temple in the Court of the temple complex at Belloor. On the right of the photograph is a domed roof, flanked by two lower elevations. The façade of the building is richly decorated with carvings of figures beneath canopies. The accompanying text observes that these sculptures would have been taken from an earlier temple and were not an original part of the building.
The temple of Belloor was dedicated to the worship of the Indian god Vishnu and stood within a large architectural complex incorporating shrines and porches. -
