Photograph album bound in morocco red leather with gold tooling and an embossed centrepiece. The front cover bears the coat of arms of Connaught; a dimidiated eagle and armed left hand. The shield is in calf leather and positioned in the centre of an indented area on the front cover. In gold above the shield is the inscription E. R. VII. There is a gold crown above the indentation. Celtic knotwork forms a rectangle around the indented area, and the same knotwork features on the back cover of the album.
The album has 50 pages and contains 50 photographs of views of Connaught. These include photographs of Kylemore Castle, Galway, and Achill Island. Many of the photographs are by Robert Welch (1859-1936). Contains the RCINs 2600154-2600203.Provenance
