Photograph showing the remains of Muckross Abbey. The abbey has no roof. A tower with crumbling walls is standing on the left of the photograph. The remains of the windows can be seen including a large, arch window on the right and the smaller lancet windows in the wall facing the viewer. The ruin has ivy growing around it and is partially obscured by the large tree on the left of the photograph. A tree is casting a shadow across the ruin on the near side. In the foreground there is a man holding a rake with a dog sitting near him on the ground.
