Photograph showing a view of St Lawrence's Gate in Drogheda, County Louth. The barbican comprises of two round towers joined together by a central wall. Some of the buildings along the street beyond the gate can be seen through the rounded arch in the lower section of the wall. Two rows of buildings flank the street approaching the gate, including a grocer's shop on the left hand side. A group of men stand in the street and a man seated on a horse and cart travels towards the viewer.
