Postcard of the bridge at Brocket Hall, Lemsford. It was sent to Prince Albert of Wales, later King George VI, by his mother the Princess of Wales, later Queen Mary. The message reads : 'Papa shot duck on their bridge!'. Brocket Hall was owned by George Stephen, 1st Baron Mount Stephen and his wife Georgiana, known as Gian, who was a close friend of the Princess of Wales.
