Description

Postcard of Drumlanrig Castle with a pre-printed Christmas greeting. It was sent by Louisa Montagu Douglas Scott, Duchess of Buccleuch. The Duchess was the Mistress of the Robes to Queen Victoria and later Queen Alexandra. The message reads : 'With warmest good wishes for Christmas & a very happy new year from Louisa Buccleuch'.
