Description

Photograph of an elevated view of the halls at the Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima island. The pavilions, supported on stilts at the edge and over the Inland Sea, are linked by jetties lined with pedestal lanterns. Numerous buildings climbing the tree-covered hill of Hatsukaichi are visible in the background.
