Photograph of Government House, Nasova. A bungalow with a gabled portico stands on the left. On the right, a smaller bungalow with a verandah is the bedroom of the Prince Albert Victor and Prince George. Both buildings are constructed from wood. In the background are palm trees on hills.
This is one of a series of photographs taken in Fiji in the fourth of nine volumes of photographs collected by the Reverend John Dalton during the 1879-82 world tour of HMS Bacchante. Prince Albert Victor and Prince George, later King George V, served as midshipmen on the voyage, and Dalton accompanied them as their tutor.
