Arched painted and gilt wood fire screen with silk panel with a central oval cartouche depicting a flower vase, raised on two supports with scrolling feet.
Provenance
This fire screen is possibly the one that appears in Nash's view of the Bue Drawing Room/Banqueting Gallery at Brighton c. 1823. If so, it was regilt in February 1841.
