J G Sanders was the Flight Commander of 615 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. He was presented with the Distinguished Flying Cross by King George VI in June 1940. This is one of a series of portraits of the last few surviving aircrew of the Battle of Britain taken by the photographer James Eckersley between 2000 and 2005.Provenance
