Photograph of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (1921-2021), The Queen (b. 1926), Prince Andrew (b. 1960), Prince Edward (b. 1964), Princess Anne (b. 1950) and Prince Charles (b. 1948) at Balmoral, 1972. The Royal Family spend their annual summer holiday at Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire. This photograph was taken to mark the Silver Wedding Anniversary of The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and was also used as their Christmas card for that year. It shows the family relaxing together. The photographs were taken by the Queen’s cousin, Patrick Lichfield, a professional photographer.
