Photograph of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn. He is looking slightly to the left and is resting both hands on his sword. He is wearing the uniform of the Rifle Brigade and the Star and Badge of the Saxe-Ernestine Order. There is a hat just visible on the table beside him to the right and a chair to the left. The photograph is surrounded by watercolour illustrations of soldiers and weapons painted by the military artist Orlando Norie. Prince Arthur served as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifle Brigade. He later became Governor General of Canada.
