Among them are Major William George Wolfe Macbay, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Richard Pennington, Subadar Major Molladad Khan and Ressaldar Major Jahour Khan. They are all wearing military uniform. There is a stone wall behind which is partially covered by a climbing plant.

This photograph was taken on the East Terrace of Windsor Castle. Subadar Major Molladad Khan and Ressaldar Major Jahour Khan received the Order of the Indian Empire from Queen Victoria during their visit.
