Photograph of the rocky coastline near the St George Monastery. The photograph shows the Black Sea with the coastline curving round to the right. There is a large rock in the foreground to the right and a number of rocks at the head of the bay. The St George Monastery, built into a cliffside near Balaklava, was used as a convalescent hospital during the Crimean War.
