Photograph of a military camp at Sevastopol. In the middle ground there are horses grazing in makeshift enclosures with mud walls. Behind there is a row of wooden huts, some with clothes drying on the roof. There are many more tents in the area of open land behind. In the foreground there are several small groups of soldiers, some smoking pipes. Troops engaged in the Siege of Sevastopol camped in the countryside surrounding the town.
