Photograph of Captain Hume (1825-1891) standing next to a horse facing left with his right arm resting on the saddle. His brother stands facing forwards by the horse's head. There are wooden buildings behind them and to the right. Captain Hume was the aide-de-camp to Sir John Campbell during the Crimean War, and was one of four brothers who served in the British Army.
