First record of collection of glass plate negatives (RCINs 2406378-2406410) of works of art, mostly jewellery, seals or insignia, some from the King's Audience Room, White Drawing Room, and elsewhere, Windsor Castle; including two negatives of four bronze statuettes for a musical clock now at Kensington Palace (RCIN 1418.a). Also in this collection are 9 smaller negatives of insignia, including Victoria and Albert's order (Princess Helena's Order), RCIN 442015; sculptures by Chantry, RCINs 35433, 31618 (mid-20th century negatives).
Originally housed in brown cardboard sleeves, some with typewritten postcards attached, annotated. The small negatives of insignia were housed in envelopes impressed with a small red crown on the back (temp. George V or VI?)
