A 7 x 9 inch glass plate negative of the Queen's Presence Chamber, Windsor Castle, with a Reisener jewel cabinet (RCIN 31207), surmounted by a canopy above. Behind is a tapestry from the Gobelins series of the Story of Esther: The Judgement of Haman (RCIN 35260). Next to the cabinet on the right is a large porcelain ewer on gilt mount (RCIN 2348) (and a second vase next to it), a torchere or candlestand (RCIN 33389) with a small bronze sculpture of a cherub with snakes on top, to left, and three porcelain vases inside the lower shelf of the cabinet.
This is the matching negative to 2402762, 'Windsor Castle Interiors: Illustrated Manuscript' (State and Private Apartments, RCINs 2402734-2402888).Provenance
