Photograph of the Albert Room, or Room 202, also known as the Blue Room, in which the Prince Consort died on 14 December 1861; also King George IV died here on 26 June 1830 and King William IV on 20 June 1837. The view shows the fireplace with a large mirror above, the mantlepiece holds a pair of candelabra, a pair of vases and a clock under glass dome; to its left is a Gothic book stand with illuminated Bible; a marble sculpture of an angel encased in a glass dome, far left; a cabinet with marble bust and small items on the other side of the fireplace; two beds covered in silk, one showing some wear; a window can be glimpsed at the end of the room. The room is now the Duke of Edinburgh's Writing Room, Windsor Castle.
