A whole-plate glass negative showing a Tatham, Bailey and Sanders bookcase (RCINs 68900.1-3) displaying a selection of Sevres porcelain in the Green Drawing Room, Windsor Castle. On top of the bookcase is one of a set of 4 five-branch candelabra, called The Seaons (RCIN 31364.4). Above this is an ornate gilt mirror (RCIN 72580) hung over a panel of (green) silk enclosed within a gilt carved frame. Sevres Louis XVI Service Plates: RCIN 58027.2.17.18.21 and the one centre base is not identifiable. Salts: RCIN 58047.1-10. Cup and Saucer (centre L) RCIN 58203.a. and Saucer 58182.2b.and centre R 58197a & b. Cup and Saucer (L top) 58188 a & b. (R top) 58189 a & b. Ice Pail and Cover RCIN 58040 a & b (c?) The Two Pails on the centre shelf cannot be identified, but are possibly RCIN 58035.8 & .3 WC Dec.China 125 & 126.
This is the matching negative 2936741; in the album there are annotations by Leopold Cleave dated 1910, possibly in his capacity as Tapissier for the Royal Household.Provenance
