A whole-plate glass negative of Room 230, which was the Sitting Room of Princess Maud (consort of Prince Carl of Denmark, later King Haakon of Norway, daughter of King Edward VII). It is looking towards the fireplace with a large overmantel mirror, which holds a mantel clock (RCIN 2881), four small basket-shaped porcelain bowls. There are fitted shelves for small pieces of porcelain. This is a 'before' shot, to be compared to 2936775 and 2401926, before the pictures and banquette were installed. Also there are: five Meissen dishes RCIN 58086.1-5, top shelf. Sauce boat on mantelpiece RCIN 58420.1 & 2. Sauce boat on shelf RCIN 58068.1-6. Scalloped Dishes RCIN 58082.1-6 or 58770. Fruit Dishes on mantelpiece RCIN 58453.1& 2. Overmantel Mirror 44011. The dish on left side of mantelpiece, Coffee Pot and Cups, Sugar Bowl, fire surround and fire Irons have not been identified.
