A whole-plate glass negative of Room 227, which was the Boudoir of Princess Victoria of Wales (1868-1935) and was formerly the Governess's Room, Windsor Castle. Here is shown a corner of the room and part of the door that contains painted panels by Richard Buckner (1812-87) (see RL 22499, 22500, 25501, others untraced), which were probably acquired by Queen Victoria about June 1845; four framed portraits of Queen Alexandra and other members of her family, hung on the panelling. Above the panelling on a moulded shelf is a row of plates, some of which are Tournai Porcelain. The wallpaper is a repeating floral garland on stripy background design. This is a 'before' shot, to be compared with 2401923 and 2936774. The Tournai plates are-from left- RCIN 36949.41 .91 .102 and .80. The four framed portraits are difficult to find..
