A whole plate glass negative of Room 227, which was the Boudoir of Princess Victoria of Wales (1868-1935) and was formerly the Governess's Room, Windsor Castle. Here is shown part of the fitted shelves and cupboards, which may be new, filled with Tournai porcelain pieces. Above the panelling is a row of plates, on a moulded shelf. Attached to the shelf are two brackets of hanging lights with shades. There is a print in the Alma-Tadema style and a landscape etching or drawing above the shelving and two photographs of Queen Alexandra, to right on the panelling. The wallpaper is a repeating floral garland on stripy background design. This is an 'after' picture, to compare with 2401920 and 2936773. The plates over the panelling are-starting left-Tournai RCIN 36949.54. 36946.23. 36949.48. 36949.14. Fruit plate RCIN 33367.13. Plate RCIN 36946.9. Fruit plate RCIN 33367.25. Plate 36949.7.
