A whole-plate glass plate of Room 227, which was the Boudoir of Princess Victoria of Wales (1868-1935) and was formerly the Governess's Room. Here is shown part of the fitted shelves and cupboards, which may be new, filled with Tournai porcelain pieces. Above the panelling is a row of plates, on a moulded shelf. Attached to the shelf are two brackets of hanging lights, without shades. The wallpaper is a repeating floral garland on stripy background design. This is a 'before' picture, to compare with 2401921 and 2936773. The Tournai pieces on shelves are: (extreme left) four mustard pots and covers RCIN 58163.1-4 a&b. On the lower shelf are four tea bottles RCIN 33666.1-4 a&b. and two broth basins with covers RCIN 58158 a&b and 33368.1 a&b. The upper shelf has two chocolate cups and saucers:RCIN 33372.1-6 a&b. Two tall flasks (Bains-marie) RCIN 33669.1&2 a, b, c. (R) and (L) are the two liners for the flasks-RCIN 33669.c 1&2. They appear to be two jugs with upturned handles.
