A whole-plate glass negative of part of Room 219, which was the Sitting Room of Princess Victoria of Wales (1868-1935). This room used to be the School Room and the photographs were probably taken after the room was re-decorated and hung with new wallpaper. Here the photograph shows various pieces of furniture including a drop-leaf table with kidney-shaped bookcase, and a porcelain pot and boat-shaped dish, next to the fireplace. On the wall above is a framed photograph of Queen Alexandra about 1898, possibly by Alice Hughes (similar to 2106296) The Candelabra are RCIN 21693.1&2. The three plates are all Tournai. Left RCIN 36947.1. Centre 36949.60. Right 36947.2. The boat-shaped dish is among Tournai RCIN 33366.1-7. The wine cooler on the mantelpiece is Tournai RCIN 58438.8. The oval dish is style of Sevres RCIN 45073.1. The table and small bookcase are not on the CMS.
