A 9 x 7 inch glass plate negative of the Travancore Throne and stool (RCIN 1561a-b), which was given to Queen Victoria by the Maharajah of Travancore (1837-1885) and displayed in the Great Exhibition of 1851. When the Queen became Empress of India in 1876, she chose to be shown seated on this throne at Windsor for her official photograph.
