A 9x7 glass plate negative of six Zulu assegais (spears) bound together from Cape Town, South Africa (see RCIN 67872). The spears were sent to Queen Victoria by Sir Bartle Frere in Cape Town via his son, 29 May 1878. Photographed for Windsor Castle Inventory of Arms etc Part 3 North Corridor, no.1346 (RCIN 1122402) - print placed between pages 436-437.
