Photograph is from a folder of photographs of paintings and artworks displayed in Prince Albert's (1819-61) rooms. This object was displayed in the lobbies outside of the Blue Room, Windsor Castle, where Prince Albert died. The Blue Room was subsequently referred to as The Albert Room.
Prince Albert highly regarded Raphael, considering him one of the greatest artist. This painting was his favourite work by the artist.Provenance
