An album of photographs which belonged to Madame de Coninck Royal Household French tutor of Princess Alice (1843-78) and Princess Louise (1848-1939), c. 1860-80 (2373078-2373120, and 2418693-2418697). The album includes photographs of Queen Victoria (1819-1901) and Prince Albert (1819-61) and their children as well as other unidentified people, and places.
Provenance
Given to Madame de Coninck by Queen Alexandra when Princess of Wales then given to Edward VII for his 50th birthday present. Madame de Coninck was the Royal Household French tutor of Princess Alice and Princess Louise.
